TVET Sub-Working Group (13/11)

On 13 November 2025, VIS and DBYN hosted the latest TVET Sub-Working Group meeting at the Don Bosco Training Institute in Ashaiman, bringing together representatives from the EU, AICS, UNICEF, GIZ, T-TEL, ILO, DBYN, and other Development Partners, with additional members joining online.

As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen alignment, collaboration, and harmonization within the TVET system, discussions focused on joint objectives for TVET policy dialogue, enhancing transparency and accountability, and the strategic priorities of the sub-working group.

VIS shared the first results from the Skilling Eco-VET project, highlighting employment outcomes and the relevance of apprenticeships for trainees from the Don Bosco Training Institutes in the Greater Accra and Bono regions.

The session concluded with a visit to the Don Bosco Training Institutes, including their Solar Energy department, a practical example of Greening TVET, and a lunch prepared by the students of the Hospitality & Catering Management department as part of their practical training. It was a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas and gain deeper insight into the TVET landscape in Ghana.
