On the 1st – 5th September, 2025, Don Bosco Tech Africa conducted a workshop under the Skilling ECO-VET Project on Improving Youth Employment Through Tracer Study Systems for TVET Institutions in Ghana. The training workshop took place at the Don Bosco Training Institute, in Accra – Ghana
The participants for the five days’ workshop were drawn from the Don Bosco Training Institutes and partner institutions in Ghana. The training focused on strengthening tracer study systems to better connect education with industry needs, ensuring smoother school-to-work transitions for young people. The sessions were facilitated by Mr. Jean Nepo, Project Officer and Ms. Nancy, IT Officer from Don Bosco Tech Africa.
Objectives: Enhance data collection on graduate outcomes, identify skill gaps, and inform policy for better job matching in the TVET ecosystem.
Impact: Expected to roll out standardized tracer tools across Ghanaian centers by early 2026, with follow-up surveys planned for 2027-2028 graduate cohorts.
The workshop emphasized building robust tracer study frameworks to bridge education and industry, and facilitating smoother transitions from school to work.
