JSO QUALITY MANUAL REVISION

From the 29th September – 1st October 2025, Don Bosco Tech Africa, in collaboration with Don Bosco Youth Network West Africa (DBYN), Jugend Eine Welt and VIS (Volontariato Internazionale per lo Sviluppo), kicked off a three-day workshop dedicated to reviewing the Job Service Office (JSO) Quality Manual, with a special focus on Inclusion mainstreaming. The participants came together to deliberate and propose concrete inclusion mainstreaming specially focused on women and persons with disabilities (PWDS) issues in the manual’s missions. The 3 days period exercise brought together P-TVETs and JSOs from Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Ghana, Benin, Nigeria, Tanzania, and Madagascar. Ms. Prossy Ogwang, Gender Advisor from Uganda was a facilitator for the workshop.

In his opening remarks, Fr. Maximus Okoro, Director of Don Bosco Tech Africa (DBTA), reminded participants that “when we invest in inclusion, we invest in justice, peace, and the very future of our young people.” We are all united by the Salesian mission of welcoming, accompanying, and empowering every young person, especially the most vulnerable. This exercise forms part of activities within the Skilling ECO-VET project for Don Bosco Youth Network (DBYN).
