KICK OFF MEETING
The Kick-Off meeting held in Ghana in April 2023 helped all the project’s partners to have an overview of the project and strategically plan the project’s main activities. It also contributes to mutual knowledge and understanding among partners.

PEERS TRAINING
Training of Peers have been organized as essential part of the Peer Review Process. Among managers, instructors and JSO, 10 people have been trained in Ghana and 11 in Senegal.

PEER REVIEW
1 Peer Review has been conducted in Ghana in August with the participation of 25 people. Through a self-assessment and focus groups with students, teachers, management, it helped DBYN to identify strengths and areas of improvement in its process of Strategic Planning. It also provided recommendations on how to improve.

PEER REVIEW
The second three-day Peer Review event took place in Dakar, Senegal, in November 2023 with the participation of 26 participants, including some project partners (LUOVI, DBYN and VIS).
Through a self-assessment and focus groups with students, teachers and management, the peer team was able to identify the main strengths and weaknesses of the process of Strategic Planning.
However , the main result was the possibility for students, teachers and management of the 3 Don Bosco in Senegal to meet, share information and experiences and be part of decision making process.

Results from WP 3
training modules
The training modules have been developed by the joint effort of BRC, CNOS-FAP, LUOVI, MUNDUS, and VIS. The main objective is to increase the quality of education of the target TVET centers, by strengthening the skills and expertise of TVET teachers and trainers.

The online toolkits repository developed by DBTA makes information from varied sources more accessible to the management, trainers, trainees, TVET practitioners and TVET policy makers at a click, improving quality and enhancing the sustainability of the TVET Systems.

TRAINING IMPLEMENTATION
After the development of training materials, a total of 14 trainings have been conducted in Ghana and Senegal between February and May 2024. The trainings were implemented by project partners and specialized trainers, with a total of 188 people attending. The target groups were mainly teachers, trainers and Job Service Officers/Liaison Officers of TVET institutions, but also local farmers and representatives of local businesses.

Results from WP 4
MARKET ANALYSIS
The analysis produced provides an overview of future market trends, job profiles and skills in Ghana and Senegal. Two papers have been produced to provide a specific and up-to-date insight into the two countries.
In Ghana, the analysis explores the gaps between technical institutes and the local market, by taking the Don Bosco Technical Institute in Sunyani as a case study.
